Bothell Family Cooperative Preschool (formerly Lake Forest Park Cooperative Preschool) is a non-profit, family-run preschool under the direction of Shoreline Community College. The cooperative preschool model offers parents and caregivers hands-on involvement in their child's early learning experience while connecting with a community of support that reaches beyond the classroom.
New families interested in registering for our preschool for the 2014-2015 can still sign up for classes now (as space is available). We are currently accepting new students for most classes ages Infant to 5 years. We offer four different classes based on the child's age by August 31st of the coming school year; Pre-Toddlers (6-12 mos), Toddlers (12 mos. - 24 mos.), 2/3s, 3/4s and Pre-K.
One of the first things our students see after they enter the classroom, and wash their hands, is our schools selection of Unit Blocks. These might seem like simple and obvious toys for a preschool, but there is not only a rich history behind these blocks, there is an often unrecognized educational value. Some of our Unit Block collection has been with our preschool for 60 yrs, since the school began, and the community has continued to donate more to the school over the years.
